Shaf is the senior exercise physiologist at Stay Active Longer with a strong desire to see others live life to their full potential. Utilising his passion and education he empowers clients through the benefits of exercise
Shaf graduated from the University of Sydney where he completed his bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology. He has over 5+ years in the health and fitness industry giving him the practical skills needed to assess clients and utilise his theoretical knowledge to implement effective exercise treatment plans and programming for continued progression of his clients. He is committed to bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance with a focus to see his clients go from rehab injury management to improved performance functionality.
His time within the industry has given him exposure to a vast range of health conditions and injuries working closely with other allied health professionals to optimise patient treatment and care. His treatment specialities include; strength and conditioning rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injury prevention , functional movement biomechanics analysis, diabetes and metabolic exercise programming.
Shaf is an avid gym enthusiast spending much of his time researching, participating in new courses or training in the gym himself. Shaf is a true believer in the quote "exercise is medicine". Through his passion for movement biomechanics, anatomy and exercise programming he guides clients through their journey from rehabilitation to performance. When not engulfed by exercise related endeavours Shaf enjoys spending his time reading.
